REFERENCES - BELIEVE IT OR NOT?

Some of the worst contractors are the best sales people! BUYER BEWARE! I have mentioned in previous posts that disreputable contractors know that they are disreputable. With that being said, the only reason anyone ever hires them is due to the contractors fraudulent representation of credentials. A customer reference is the easiest credential to fabricate. You could be speaking to the contractor's brother, mother, or grandfather; all willing to help their family member be successful by offerring bogus validation. Most homeowners are unaware of the Right Questions to ask when soliciting verification of a job well done.
